The JSOM CMC is the primary career support resource for all Jindal School students. Located at JSOM 12.110. The CMC requires students to complete an internship before graduation, and provides the full support infrastructure to make that happen. Use it from your first semester.

• Book a Career Coaching Appointment

  Schedule 1:1 career coaching via Handshake. Covers résumé and cover letter review, job/internship search strategy, LinkedIn optimization, mock interview preparation, and career fair strategies. Both in-person (JSOM 12.110) and virtual appointments available. Email Jindal.career@utdallas.edu if you have difficulty scheduling.

• CMC Drop-In Advising

  Walk-in advising available at JSOM 12.110 during business hours. Fastest way to get quick feedback on résumés, cover letters, LinkedIn profiles, and career questions without a scheduled appointment. Check the CMC website for current drop-in availability each semester.

• JSOM Internship Requirement & ORION Reporting

  All JSOM students are required to complete an internship before graduation. Report your internship in ORION by the published deadlines — Summer 2026: report by Monday, July 6, 2026. Domestic students need 1 completed long semester; F-1 students need CPT eligibility (2 consecutive long semesters). Do not renege on an accepted internship without CMC approval — it results in academic discipline and loss of CMC access. Verified active page.

• CPT Authorization for F-1 Students

  F-1 students pursuing internships must complete CPT Training through ISSO (online, via iComet portal, 5 modules) before receiving CPT authorization.   JSOM alumni (post-graduation) access career resources and schedule appointments through 12twenty rather than Handshake. Activate by emailing 12twentysupport@utdallas.edu. Current students use Handshake; alumni use 12twenty. On-campus student employment is also transitioning to 12twenty as of May 2026.

The Professional Program in Finance (PPF) is the most selective and career-defining program for UTD finance students targeting high-finance careers. 180 Degrees Consulting is a major multibranch consulting organization. The DFW location creates direct access to some of the largest financial institutions and corporations in the country.
