Common Questions

What is the time commitment?
It depends on the role. Mentors and coaches meet weekly for 1 to 2 hours. Interviewers set their own pace — 1 to 4 interviews per week. Judges attend up to 4 sessions of 90 minutes each.
Do I need specific qualifications?
Most roles require 2 to 3 years of professional experience. We value practical knowledge over credentials. Mentors typically have more seniority, since part of the role involves making introductions and providing network access students wouldn't otherwise have.
Is training provided?
Yes. All volunteers receive orientation materials, role-specific guides, and ongoing support from the Driving Forward team throughout the program.
Can I volunteer remotely?
Yes. All roles are conducted virtually. You can participate from anywhere.
